	Deluca Removed from the Priesthood By Carl Kanefsky WDEL August 8, 2008 http://www.wdel.com/story.php?id=591412475828 Francis DeLuca is no longer a priest following a decree by Pope Benedict. The request for DeLuca's laicization came from Bishop Michael Saltarelli after DeLuca was arrested for sexual abuse in Syracuse, New York back in 2006. The final decision by the Pope come in the wake of a recommendation from the Doctrine of the Faith in Rome, and cannot be appealed.
