The Archdiocese of Chicago has reached a multi-million dollar settlement in lawsuits involving ten Catholic priests accused of sexual abuse.

$12.6 million will be paid out to 16 victims who had been abused in the last 30 years.

Cardinal Francis George said the important thing is the healing of the victims.

The funds for the settlement come partially from insurance and from the sale of church property.

The victims should have access to those funds in a few weeks.

In this video, there is also a statement from Jimmy Lago, the chancellor of the Archdiocese of Chicago.
