The man, now a 40-year-old Waitsfield resident claims he suffered sexual abuse as a child. He says the church failed to adequately supervise Reverend Edward Paquette and that Paquette molested him up to 50 times when he was a fourth-grade altar boy at Christ the King church in Burlington in the 1970s. After about 16 hours of deliberations over three days, jurors said Wednesday they were hopelessly deadlocked.
