One of the men charged over sexual abuse that allegedly took place at St Stanislaus college in Bathurst in the 1970s returned to the school this year for an event associated with World Youth Day.

The 66-year-old Catholic brother is one of three men accused of abusing students at the Catholic boarding school.

Abuse allegations: St Stanislaus College in Bathurst.

He features prominently in promotional material for a Vincentian Fathers trip to St Stanislaus, which was organised for pilgrims as part of the 'Days in the Diocese' event during World Youth Day in July.

World Youth Day officials have told a Sydney newspaper that the Bathurst excursion was not part of official events, so the man would not have required child protection checks.

The material also says he has been the spiritual adviser to the St Vincent De Paul Society's Youth Team for the past 11 years.
