In a new book to be released Tuesday, Illinois Supreme Court Justice Anne Burke accuses Chicago Cardinal Francis George of dishonesty.

Chicago Cardinal Francis George

The book is called "Being Catholic Now." It was written by Kerry Kennedy, daughter of Robert and Ethel Kennedy.

According to the book, Burke criticizes the cardinal for not telling her that he was housing a priest accused of abuse in Delaware. Burke headed an advisory board on clergy sexual abuse for the U.S. Catholic bishops.

The Chicago Roman Catholic Archdiocese released this response from the cardinal:

"He said in part, 'At the time, I was unaware of all the details of his situation, but since he let me know that a question had been raised about his past, I invited him to stay in my house rather than a parish when he came to Chicago while his own diocese was deciding whether or not he should be in ministry.'"
