A 51-year-old man filed the fourth lawsuit against the Diocese of Wilmington for alleged childhood sexual abuse by a now-deceased priest.

The anonymous man, John Poe No. 1, claims that when he was a 12-year-old altar boy at St. Francis de Sales Church in Salisbury, Md., the Rev. Leonard J. Mackiewicz would drive him to the priest's mother's house in Sussex County, where he would sexually assault him.

The suit also charges Mackiewicz would provide Poe with alcohol, cigarettes and pornography.

Another St. Francis de Sales priest would regularly see Mackiewicz take Poe up to the rectory bedroom and sexually abuse him, according to the lawsuit filed Friday in Sussex County Superior Court.

The suit was filed by the Neuberger Firm, which in addition to Poe is representing Raymond Donahue, Mary Dougherty and David Dixon, who each filed their own suits alleging Mackiewicz had assaulted them at different churches across the Delmarva Peninsula.
