A MAN who claimed to have been one 60 alleged victims of paedophiles at St Stanislaus' College said yesterday he did not want to see abusive brothers and priests get away with what they did at the school.

The now 34-year-old who identified himself first made accusations against the teachers at the college as a 13-year-old in 1986.

"I was in Year 7 and expelled for making my first complaint," the young man told assembled media outside Bathurst Court House.

When pressed by reporters as to how he had been abused the man said "in every way."

"There is a web site with all of the graphic details," he said quoting the site they could access more information.

The alleged victim said he's "pleased something is finally being done in the courts. It's good, it brings finality for people abused at St Stanislaus'."

"It tells them they have not got away with it," he added. "This happened at school here, it can happen anywhere. I don't think you can stop it."

Speaking after the young man addressed the media, his mother said "I'm here supporting him."

The woman said her son had come forward to give information to police. They both hoped there would be other witnesses because her boy had witnessed abuse of as many as 60 fellow students.
