Charles B. Brinson, of Burlington County, says that he has spread God's word all over the world.

Law-enforcement officials say that he also traveled to Philadelphia several times to pick up a 15-year-old boy that they say he was sexually assaulting.

Sources say that Brinson, 48, of Florence, also may have spread the HIV virus, which he told authorities that he had after his arrest Saturday in Trenton.

N.J. State Police say that Brinson used the title "bishop," and is affiliated with Brinson Memorial Church, in Trenton.

Wanted on warrants issued in Philadelphia, Brinson was arrested Saturday by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force while sitting in a Brinson-church van.

State Police Lt. Stephen Jones said that Brinson allegedly picked up the teen in Philly and brought him to his Florence home several times between January and June.

Brinson was charged with felony solicitation, felony contact with a minor, felony use of a communication facility and misdemeanor corruption of minors. He was being held in the Mercer County jail.

A now-defunct Web site for the church called Brinson a "prophet" who evangelized throughout the world.
