New York, NY (AHN) - Students and faculty members at the St. John's University in Queens, New York City were shocked after authorities arrested university chaplain Father Charles Plock for allegedly emailing pornographic videos to an investigator guised as a 14-year-old.

Plock, 64, was charged after a Colorado police detective posing as a young boy received two home video containing scenes of Plock masturbating in his bathroom's apartment inside the campus.

Plock was arraigned Friday night at the Queens Criminal Court, and is scheduled for his next hearing on November 11.

Plock was later released after fellow priests were able to collect a $15,000 for his bond.

He was allowed release on condition that he undergoes psychiatric help at St. John Vianney Center, a psychiatric center for priests in Downington, Pennsylvania.

Plock leads the university's youth ministry and is known to help poor immigrants. He is fluent in Spanish and was in Panama for ten years and at St. John the Baptist Parish in Brooklyn before working in St. John's.
