ST. GEORGE, Utah -- An attorney for the ex-husband of the former teenage bride whose court testimony helped send polygamous church leader Warren Jeffs to prison wants a 5th District judge to force the Washington County Attorney's Office to provide evidence gathered during Jeffs' prosecution.

Allen Glade Steed, now 26, is charged with one count of first-degree felony rape for his sexual relationship with Elissa Wall after the couple married in a 2001 religious ceremony. She was 14 and he was 19, and both were members of Jeffs' Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

As part of his defense, Steed's lawyers also want information about any money Wall received from the state's victim reparation fund, a book publisher and other sources.

Jeffs was convicted a year ago of two counts of rape by accomplice for arranging the marriage between Steed and Wall. He currently is in jail at Kingman, Ariz., awaiting trial on similar charges.
