A 51-year-old Fort Myers man has been arrested for sexual battery of a victim under the age of 12 by a custodian.

James Patten is being held at Lee County Jail on $100,000 bond.
According to Lee County Sheriff's detective Janet Rincon, the girl told her mother Monday that Patten picked her up, put her to bed and digitally assaulted her numerous times. The girl said she pretended to be asleep.
The girl told her mother the next day, who then contacted a pastor, who then urged her to file a report.
