Wilmington, DE (AHN) - The late Roman Catholic priest Rev. Eugene Clarahan of the Diocese of Wilmington appears to have molested a number of minors as another sex abuse victim filed a lawsuit against the ex-priest.

The case was filed Friday by alleged victim John Coe Number 1, 58, which accused Clarahan of abusing him in 1968. Clarahan was then a prison chaplain and Coe was a 17-year-old inmate.

This was the third sexual abuse lawsuit filed against Clarahan in a span of three weeks.

Coe accused the Diocese that it was aware of Clarahan's activities. But because of shortage of priests, the Diocese continued on transferring him from parish to parish. Clarahan retired from priesthood in 1993 and died 6 years later.

Since his abuse, Coe said that he has been addicted to alcohol and drugs. He also failed to hold down a job, take care of a marriage and even trust anyone since the abuse. He has also suffered from depression and anxiety.
