PADUCAH, KY - A Missouri man was arrested Friday night at Heartland Worship Center after some folks got suspicious about him taking pictures of children there during a church festival. The McCracken County Sheriff’s office says 41-year-old Anthony Allen Burns of St. Louis was charged with possession of Loritab not in a proper container, driving without a license and driving with no insurance. Deputies also took his two cameras he was using to take the pictures. Deputies were called to the church around 8:40 when Burns started to take the kids pictures in the parking lot. He told them he was taking the pictures to submit to a newspaper. Officials say Burns was out of jail on bond after being arrested in June in Union County on a charge of sexual abuse of a 14-year-old girl. According to jail officials, Judge Kitchen set Mr. Burn's bond at $250. He was released from the McCracken County Jail around 1 this afternoon when his mother paid his bond. Our newsroom received a phone call at 1:15pm today reporting suspicious behavior by a man described as a tall, middle aged white male with dark hair who was in their neighborhood on Jefferson Street last night. That call prompted our newsroom to call the jail and post his photo for public information. (updated 1:52 pm by Ro Morse)
