JACKSON, Miss. - The Mississippi Supreme Court will review a judge's dismissal of a lawsuit filed by Julie Hines, the former wife of ex-Gov. Ray Mabus, against a then-priest whom she had accused of taping her admission of an affair.

The case is among dozens the Supreme Court will consider during the November-December term.

Hines alleged Jerry McBride knew about and participated in the taping of a 1998 meeting between Julie and Ray Mabus in which Hines admitted to an affair. A Hinds County judge dismissed the lawsuit in 2006.

McBride is no longer in the priesthood and doesn't reside in Mississippi.

Hines claimed she did not consent to the taping. Hines alleged the information was later used in the couple's divorce, which Ray Mabus denied.
