SANTA ANA -- The former pastor of an Anaheim church was sentenced Tuesday to 90 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to molesting four girls and a boy from his congregation.

Raul Rosas Hernandez, 44, of Stanton, was the pastor at Anaheim's Faith in Action Church when the sexual assaults occurred.

He pleaded guilty to 34 felony charges. Among those charges were: 22 counts of lewd acts upon a child under 14; three counts of forcible lewd acts on a child under 14; four counts of lewd acts on a child; one count of unlawful sexual intercourse; one count of rape; two counts of distributing pornography to a minor; and one count of failure to appear in court while out on bail.

Hernandez also received sentencing enhancements for substantial sexual conduct with a child and committing forcible lewd acts.

The first victim, who was 12 to 13 years old, was sexually assaulted by Hernandez on two occassions between Feb. 3, 2001, and Feb. 2, 2003. Hernandez apparently had the girl in his home, where he grabbed her chest and rubbed her buttocks, police said.

Hernandez's second victim was molested between May 23, 1996 and May 22, 1998. Hernandez forcibly touched the then 12- or 13-year-old girl on her breasts and crotch, according to investigators.

Then, Hernandez molested a 10-year-old boy twice in his church office and once at his Anaheim home, touching the boy and asking him sexually explicit questions, police said.

Between Aug. 14, 1997 and Feb. 13, 2006, Hernandez repeatedly sexually assaulted a third girl when she was 7 to 15 years old. He forced a fourth girl to have sexual intercourse with him in his church office, authorities said.

Hernandez also videotaped sexual acts in his church office, according to investigators.

Police started investigating Hernandez in June 2007 after the third female victim told a family member about the molestation. The fourth female victim was contacted by investigators after being identified from one of Hernandez's sex tapes.

In May 2006, Hernandez jumped bail after learning he was facing a possible life sentence. He was later captured in Redlands. Police said he has tried to raise money to escape to Mexico.
