Jeffrey Heberlein accused of failing to adhere to requirements.

CARROLLTON — A former Greene County Baptist minister was arrested Thursday for the second time for allegations of probation violation.

Jeffrey D. Heberlein, 45, of Fowler, in Adams County, was arrested on a Greene County bench warrant alleging failure to report, failure to notify the court of a change of employment and failure to attend counseling.

Scott County Circuit Court Judge Lois Bell, who was assigned Mr. Heberlein’s case, issued the bench warrant Wednesday, and a motion to revoke his probation was also filed in Greene County Court with a court date set for Jan. 28.

Mr. Heberlein, who served as the minister of Mount Gilead and Berdan Baptist churches, was initially arrested August 10, 2005, at his home in Plainview for having sex with a female minor during 2003 and 2004. He pleaded guilty to aggravated criminal sexual abuse on Sept. 22, 2006, confessing to fondling and having sexual contact on several occasions with a young teenage girl.
