Informed sources indicate that the bishops' meeting, to take place at Maynooth, will concentrate on designing a uniform policy rather than on the problems of any particular diocese. Bishop John Magee of Cloyne has faced calls for his resignation after the revelation of mishandled sex-abuse allegations in that diocese; a new report on the Dublin archdiocese is expected soon.
