A minister is accused of sexually abusing three teenage boys in his Muncie congregation.

The Rev. Matthew A. Kidd was released on $25,000 bond from Delaware County Jail on Wednesday. Kidd surrendered at the jail about 8 p.m. after sheriff’s deputies were unable to locate him to serve an arrest warrant.

The 52-year-old Kidd faces charges of child molesting, sexual misconduct with a minor and vicarious sexual gratification, all felonies.

An initial hearing is set for Monday in Delaware Circuit Court.

The Associated Press left phone messages seeking comment from Kidd and his attorney.

Kidd is pastor of Freedom Point Apostolic Church in Muncie.

A probable cause affidavit alleges Kidd persuaded three brothers, between ages 12 to 15, to perform sexual acts or fondled them.
