Catholic Diocese of Peoria Bishop Daniel Jenky is upset with the media and the Illinois Courts over the handling of sexual abuse allegations against priests.

n a letter that will distributed this weekend to Catholic parishes throughout central Illinois, Jenky says he thinks the media coverage and court rulings have been unfair.

A leader for a group of those abused by priests dismissed Jenky's comments in a response Friday.

A recent ruling from the 3rd District Appellate Court could reinstate cases dismissed in June 2007.because the alleged victims waited too long to file charges.
