NEOSHO, Mo. (AP) — The pastor of a small southwest Missouri church has pleaded guilty to a pair of felony sex charges.

The Joplin Globe is reporting that 50-year-old Randall D. "Danny" Russell of Neosho is scheduled to be sentenced April 21 for one count each of first-degree child molestation and sexual exploitation of a minor.

Assistant Newton County Prosecutor Bill Dobbs says Russell will receive 15 years for each count to be served concurrently and that other charges will be dismissed in exchange for entering the guilty plea Tuesday.

A women who testified against the Acts II Church pastor during his preliminary hearing said that she was raped and sodomized when she was 16. She said Russell told her the sex acts were to please God.

A message left at the office of the attorney court records listed as representing him was not immediately returned.
