Police in Greece arrested a monastery's abbot on suspicion of sexually abusing at least 21 novice monks over the past two decades.

The 68-year-old was held after four men aged 18-34 accused him of forcing them to engage in sexual acts with him. The abuse allegedly took place between 1988 and 2007, when the men were novices at the Greek Orthodox monastery near Athens.

Disabled 'fight club' staged

Seven staff at a state-run home for the mentally disabled in Texas have been suspended for staging a 'fight club' among residents.

Police discovered a mobile phone containing videos of fights with employees looking on at the Corpus Christi State School.

Funeral director looking for swap

A New York funeral director is looking for a reliable builder to renovate his apartment in exchange for a luxury funeral.

Peter Dohanich wants a sitting room creating off the living room of his ground floor apartment. In return he promises a full funeral, including cremation or burial, embalming, a coffin, viewing, church service, and even a hearse or limo for loved ones.

Washer liberated women: Vatican

Feminists of the world sit down before you read this. The Vatican newspaper says that perhaps the washing machine did more to liberate women in the 20th Century than the pill or the right to work.
