LE MARS, Iowa - A former northwest Iowa funeral home director serving probation for theft and tax evasion has been sentenced to prison.

Fifty-year-old Mark Rohde of Kingsley pleaded guilty in August 2008 and was placed on three years probation and ordered to pay $210,000 restitution, including $180,000 to his former business partner and the rest to the Iowa Department of Revenue.

On Wednesday, a Plymouth County judge revoked that probation and ordered Rohde to serve a prison sentence after a jury found him guilty earlier this month of harassing his former business partners.

Rohde was formerly a part-owner of the Mauer-Johnson-Earnest Funeral Homes in Kingsley and Marcus.
