Mexican authorities say the suspect in the case of a murdered Austin priest has confessed to the crime, but the man claims the two were gay lovers.

The suspect, Manuel Torres Saldaņa, said in a press conference that Father Euresti was going to kick him out of the house; this because his drug addiction did not allow him to make love to the priest.

Saldana went on to say the priest wanted to end the relationship and start seeing another man.

That's when it escalated to an argument.

According to Saldaņa, the priest grabbed a machete and lunged towards him, but managed to get a hold of a knife and stabbed him in the heart.

In the confession he goes on in great detail on how he got rid of the body.
