KANSAS CITY, MO - A metro pastor faces felony assault charges after a bleeding and beaten woman showed up at a stranger's doorstep accusing the man of beating her.

Alfred F. White, 54, a pastor at the Community Missionary Baptist Church in Kansas City, Kansas, is charged with first-degree domestic assault in the incident.

According to police, White allegedly picked up the victim on Wednesday evening when they had an argument over whether or not he was the father of the woman's child. Authorities say that White struck approximately 50 times as they drove around the area, and that he allegedly stopped in the area of 34th and Benton for approximately an hour where he continued to hit the victim.

Police say that the victim became disoriented and remembered waking up being bloody, then knocking on someone's front door in the 3200 Block of 20th Terrace around 5 a.m. Friday morning to ask for help.

Gloria Young told FOX 4 that she was awakened by someone banging on the door ringing the doorbell frantically and yelling call "9-1-1 I need some help."

Young says she found the 34 year-old woman on her porch curled in a ball and covered with blood that was gushing out of her head. According to authorities, the victim's temporal artery was found to be severed as a result of blunt force trauma.

White was taken into custody on Friday afternoon. He is being held on $250,000 cash-only bond.
