  U.S. to Deport Calgary Child Molester

A retired Calgary pastor convicted of molesting a four-year-old girl in the united states is coming back to Canada.

Kenneth Cooke, 74, is in the custody of immigration officials awaiting his deportation.

Cooke has been in jail since november 2007, when he pleaded guilty to aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a victim under 13 years old.

Cooke was paroled last month, but was subject to a deportation order issued last year.

"Kenneth Cooke is in Immigration and Customs enforcement custody at the kenosha County jail in wisconsin," said u. s. immigration spokeswoman gail montenegro. "He is pending removal from the united states."
