A Catholic Priest from Mason County facing sexual assault charges waived his preliminary hearing yesterday in Mason County District Court. Father Johnson Pappusamy was bound over to Circuit Court where he also waived his arraignment. Officials at the court say a notice for a final conference will be sent out within two weeks. Pappusamy is charged with fourth degree criminal sexual conduct after being arrested following an incident that occurred February 11th at the Ludington Meijer store. Pappusamy is the former pastor of St. Jerome's Catholic Church in Scottville and St. Mary's Catholic Church in Custer. He faces up to two years in jail if convicted.
