YAKIMA, Wash. -- A church youth volunteer accused of molesting two teenage girls from the congregation of a West Valley church pleaded guilty to sexual abuse charges Thursday.

Jerry Ray Ketzenberg, 38, of Yakima faces a sentence of 15 to 20 months in prison for his plea in Yakima County Superior Court to two counts of third-degree child molestation.

As a member of the Yakima Bible Baptist Church, Ketzenberg was accused of sexually abusing a 15-year-old girl in 2002 and another girl about the same age over a similar period ending in 2004.

The girls were volunteers who worked with Ketzenberg visiting children on weekends promoting church youth activities, such as retreats, camps and field trips.

Ketzenberg, who also drove a bus for the church, is no longer with the congregation.

A sentencing date was scheduled tentatively for June 10, pending completion of a presentence investigation.
