A well-known area priest has resigned his post at Guerin Catholic High School following a weekend DUI arrest.

Father Ted Rothrock was head of the Carmel Deanery, pastor at St. Elizabeth Seton Church and president of the high school in Noblesville

An officer stopped Rothrock on Gray Road Sunday night. He failed a field sobriety test and was taken to the Hamilton County Jail.

Guerin Catholic students were notified by email that Rothrock had resigned and that the school’s vice president, Father Dale Ehrman, was asked to take over the president post.
