  Eviction in Father Grassi's Shelter

Yesterday evening, Federal Police evicted the minors'home Fundation "Felices los Niņos", in the neighborhood of Chacarita, under a climate of tension with neighbors and followers of Father Julio Cesar Grassi.


The eviction was made by a judge's decision , who ordered to close it because abuse accusations, that involves 34 minors between 8 and 17 years, the majority of them were resisted to abandon the place, and according to later statements the minors were "mistreated, pushed and even beaten" by the authorities that participated in the eviction.

Commissioner Ricardo Pedace from District V that took participation in the procedure, said that "the presence of the police was arranged by the Justice", and affirmed that the transfers of the minors were fulfilled of voluntary form", assuring that "did not exercise pressure or violence on minors to be moved them"

Father Grassi declared about this event that "as a father of such big community I am aggrieved, hurt deep inside, and if there is a low blow is the fact that they beat me and beat the children" and to the judge Myriam Rustan de Estrada of the Civil Court N ° 106, "she forgot a international fundamental children law, which the children has the right to be listened. This judge has to re-view what she is doing".
