	Police Backtrack on Pastors Sodomy Case The New Vision May 22, 2009 http://www.newvision.co.ug/D/10/10/682120 Police have backtracked on the sodomy allegations against Pastor Robert Kayanja saying they did not exonerate him over the charges. Police’s change of position follows President Yoweri Museveni’s dissatisfaction with the manner in which Police handled the matter. Criminal Investigations department Chief Edward Ochom over the weekend declared that Police had cleared Kayanja over the allegations describing the statements made against him as full of lies and fabricated. The Police instead arrested the alleged sodomy victim and also interrogated Kayanja accusers for three consecutive days. Police Chief Kale Kayihura yesterday met Kayanja accuser and committed himself to have the case reviewed. Ochom who is reluctant to comment about the matter and has referred Vision Voice to Police spokesperson Judith Nakakooba who is also tight leaped.
