	Crossville Pastor Arrested on Child Sex Charges By Barbara Czura WAFF May 23, 2009 http://www.waff.com/Global/story.asp?S=10411812&nav=0hBE FORT PAYNE, AL (WAFF) - An associate pastor at the Harvest Baptist Church in Crossville was arrested Friday afternoon on sexual abuse charges. It's the second time Billy Paul Masters, 64, has been accused of abusing a child. Masters was convicted of three counts of first degree sodomy in 2001 and was released from prison in 2007. Then, while he was on probation for that previous charge, he was arrested again Friday amidst accusations that he abused a boy under the age of 12. Investigators said the victim was a member of the church. The boy confided in his parents, who called officers to report the crime. DeKalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harris said they've been following masters since January. "This is always his M.O.," Harris said. "He gets into a situation where there are children he has contact with from time to time. So no good comes out of this. So we hope at this time we got a good enough case it'll stick this time." Masters is a registered sex offender. He was being held at the DeKalb County Detention Center Friday afternoon.
