Statehouse has denied any involvement in a case in which Pastor Robert Kayanja is alleged to have sodomised a number of young boys that were members of his church.

The Press Secretary of the President Tamale Mirundi has told a press conference at the Media Centre today that the President is unsatisfied with the way the police has handled the matter.

Kayanja has been cleared of these charges and since then the police has turned the tables against the accusers Kayanja who include Pastor Martin Sempa of Makerere Community Church, Solomon Male and other four complainants by interrogating them.

Mirundi says police is intimidating the accusers which are not meant to be the case and that every Ugandan has a right to a fair investigation and not the way police has handled the matter.

He has also denied claims that came out in the media today that state house has an alliance with Pastor Robert Kayanja.

The Presidential Press Secretary Tamale Mirundi says that President Museveni views with grave concern the on going sodomy reports appearing in the media and from that basis he ordered for investigation of sate house officials who are interfering with due process of the law.

Mirundi says those that are backing pastor Kayanja and claiming to be from Statehouse are impostors because the President has not asked anyone to protect Kayanja.

He says Museveni does not condone any body interfering with the due process of Uganda’s law. Mirundi says the President has directed that who ever is found guilty of interfering with laws shall face disciplinary action.

Mirundi says that Uganda is a democratic county operating under the rule of law, that any aggrieved Ugandan is free to bring their grievances to the police or courts of laws.
