	Rev. Budd Gets Probation By Sarah Elmquist Winona Post May 31, 2009 http://www.winonapost.com/stock/functions/VDG_Pub/detail.php?choice=31147&home_page=1 A pastor convicted of having sexual contact with a woman seeking spiritual guidance was sentenced to 15 years of probation Thursday. Rev. Donald Dean Budd, 65, must also register as a predatory offender and complete community service. He was also ordered to give up his license to preach while on probation, and must seek treatment as a psychosexual offender. According to the criminal complaint, Budd had sexual contact with the woman in 2003 and 2005 while she was seeking guidance from him. That contact, according to the complaint, occurred both at the victim’s home and at the McKinley United Methodist Church. Such contact between a member of the clergy and a parishioner is forbidden by state law.
