Kampala — PASTOR Michael Kyazze of Omega Healing Centre is to appear before Police detectives investigating sodomy allegations against Pastor Robert Kayanja of Rubaga Miracle Centre.

Kyazze, who last week returned from the US, is expected to report to the Central Police Station in Kampala tomorrow.

"I am wanted in connection with statements that have been made at the Police. My name has been mentioned several times," Kyazze said in an interview yesterday.

The Police recently summoned pastors Martin Ssempa and Solomon Male over the allegations.

Ssempa of Makerere Community Church and Male of Arise and Shine Ministries were questioned on May 18 at the Criminal Investigation Directorate at Kibuli in Kampala. The trio, Kayanja argues, want to tarnish his name.

Kyazze told The New Vision yesterday that he gave Samson Mukisa, one of Kayanja's accusers, refuge.

Mukisa, now under Police care, has since retracted his statements, claiming he was bribed to make the allegations.

Kyazze blamed the change on the way the Police handled the complainants.

"He is a young man. He can easily be intimidated and manipulated," Kyazze argued as he dismissed reports that he bribed the alleged victims.

"Why would I bribe anyone and for what reason?" he asked, adding that he needed to make a statement in order to set the record straight.

Kyazze's lawyer, Andrew Kasirye, said his client had informed him about the Police summons.

In a related development, Kayanja's other accusers; Robson Matovu, Brian Akansiimwe, Ronnie Mutebi and James Ntwatwa are also said to have retracted their statements.

David Mulakazi, who said Kayanja caressed his buttocks amid promises of a lavish life abroad, has maintained his assertion.
