	Bishop Denies Allegations The Malta Independent June 5, 2009 http://www.independent.com.mt/news.asp?newsitemid=89072 The Gozo Curia said in a statement by Bishop Mario Grech yesterday that during the preceding night some wording had been scribbled on the Curia’s walls, conveying slanderous allegations against the bishop about his pastoral activities. The bishop denied the allegations, which he said have no basis, and gave an assurance that his decisions are taken after consultation in all responsibility to God and the Church, even if they cost him. The writing was also condemned by the College of Parish Priests of Gozo, who met to discuss the matter yesterday and confirmed their trust in Mgr Grech’s leadership and thanked him for his dedication to the ministry. The parish priests also asked the faithful to express their solidarity with their bishop, especially in their prayers.
