In graphic detail, two Salinas Police Department officers testified at a preliminary hearing this morning about alleged sexual molestation by the Rev. Antonio Cortes.

The Salinas parish priest is facing child molestation charges related to a 16-year-old “John Doe.”

Monterey County Superior Court Judge Terrance Duncan listened to the testimonies to determine whether Cortes will stand trial.

Salinas police detective Luis Bravo and computer forensic specialist took to the stand, giving details of the alleged sexual encounter between Cortes and John Doe.

Cortes was arrested April 16 and charged with child molestation and providing alcohol to a minor.
