	Update: Salinas Priest to Stand Trial in Child Molestation By Kimber Solana The Salinas Californian June 5, 2009 http://thecalifornian.com/article/20090605/NEWS01/90605042/1002/news01/UPDATE++Salinas+priest+to+stand+trial+in+child+molestation Based on testimonies heard in court today, a Monterey County Superior Court judge ordered the Rev. Antonio Cortes to stand trial on accusations of child molestation. Cortes, of St. Mary of the Nativity Church in Salinas, will face one felony charge of sodomy, one felony charge of possession of child pornography, and two other misdemeanor charges. Judge Terrance Duncan also lowered Cortes’ bail from $750,000 to $100,000. Cortes’ next scheduled court appearance is July 8. Contact: ksolana@thecalifornian.com
