In statements made to the press after the sentence was declared, Grassi said that he didn't see "substance" in the hearing and that it was all "ridiculous."

"This was an injustice, a punch in the stomach that has left me without air," said the priest.

Although the Court allowed Grassi to enter the Felices los Niņos foundation if accompanied, Grassi said that he was "not at all happy" with the ruling.

The priest said that he has "very concrete evidence and there is not doubt that they will overturn the ruling."

Grassi said that he plans on appealing the ruling that sentenced him to 15 years in prison.

He said that the situation is "terrible" and that it was "completely unexpected."
