The priest Julio Cesar Grassi was sentenced today to 15 years of prison by the Oral Court number 1 of Moron, in the case for sexual abuse and corruption of minors denounced by three men who had been in his shelter home when kids.

Judges Luis Andueza, Jorge Carrera and Mario Gómez ruled after 200 hearings since August 19, 2008, more than nine months ago.

But he will not go to jail, he will not be allowed to leave the country and can not be away from his home for more than 24 hours, neither can have contacted with age minors.

Grassi faced 17 charges of abuse and corruption of minors occurred before 2002. He was sentenced for only two of them. During the judicial process, declared expert psychiatrists and psychologists who analyzed three informers, "Ezequiel", "Gabriel" and "Luis". Three young people (children at the moment of the abuses) and the Children were in charge of Grassi in the head office of the Foundation "Felices los niños", in Hurlingham.

Besides the declarations of the informers and of the experts who supported the sayings of three young people, during the judgment there were not physical examinations that credit either the declarations of the informers, or DNA tests.

There nor were direct witnesses. On the other hand, a physical examination was realized to the priest, in last October, to confirm the descriptions that one of the informers made of the priest.
