It will be at least another two months before we hear a plea from David Pierce.

Dressed in a suit and tie, 56-year-old David pierce showed up to court Monday with his attorney. It was Pierce's first time to face reporters since his arrest, but he had nothing to say.

Attorney Mark Hampton says, "No comment from my client."

Inside the courtroom, the appearance lasted only minutes with the judge. Instead of entering a plea, Pierce's lawyer asked for more time to review the evidence against his client. The judge agreed giving him another two months.

Hampton explains, "On behalf of David and his family, I just want to say that this is a very dark and difficult time for him. He is very concerned over his future, his family's future and the future's of others."

Also in court Monday was Greg White.

White says, "Unfortunately the sheriff wouldn't let us communicate."

Before the arrest, Pierce and White went to church together at First Baptist of Benton.

White explains, "I want his family to know that there are people in the church that are tremendously concerned and praying for the situation."

There are four alleged victims. They're all teen boys who claim Pierce had inappropriate contact with them.

White is a father himself to teen boys which is why he says the accusations are even more difficult. And despite Pierce not entering a plea, White is still ready to forgive.

"It is a sad situation for our church, but at the same time I believe in our Christian church. We are supposed to practice reconciliation and restoration," White explains.

According to the arrest affidavit, David Pierce wrote a letter to the church apologizing for his alleged behavior. He said that he acknowledged his sinfulness and immorality, but that he did not engage in actual sexual contact with anyone.

Pierce will be back in court on Aug. 17. He's been out on bond since his arrest.
