According to Miami-Dade court records, Alberto Cutiè and Ruhama Canellis were married today in a Coral Gables courthouse by a judge. Speculation was that the two were expected to be wed later this month, but apparently the rush to consummate the marriage proved to be too strong.

Padre Alberto Cutie is now officially married.

Cutiè, who was the face of the youth movement in the Catholic church, recently switched to the Episcopalian faith to marry the love of his life. After years of keeping his relationship with Canellis a secret and violating his vow of celibacy, Cutiè finally made the single mother the preacher's wife.

The Miami Herald reported that the Rt. Rev. Leo Frade, bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Southeast Florida, will officiate at a religious wedding ceremony, expected to happen in the next two weeks. Off-duty Miami officers have already been hired to serve as security for what's sure to be a high-profile affair.
