Michael Jay Pratt

` An LDS Seminary Principal is under investigation after being accused of having a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old girl.

According to the Salt Lake Tribune, Michael Jay Pratt was currently serving as a seminary principal at Highland's Lone Peak High School.

Investigators say Pratt began exchanging text messages with the teen in May. Authorities say Pratt would also take the teen out of school and transport her to multiple places throughout Utah County to perform sexual acts.

The Tribune reports that the girl told police about the crimes this week. Investigators are now trying to determine exactly how many times the pair were involved in sexual activity.

Pratt was booked into the Utah County Jail on investigation of 10 counts of forcible sodomy, 10 counts of enticing a minor, one count of lewdness, one count of object rape, three counts of aggravated kidnapping, and several other charges.

Authorities are trying to figure out how many times Pratt and the girl were involved with each other. Police are also trying to determine if the victim was one of his seminary students.
