Fr Kizito has denied claims that he abused minors at Mvuli Children's Home in Nairobi

The priest at the centre of a sexual harassment scandal Father Kizito Renato Sesana Tuesday told the court that a petition filed in court over the running of the Koinonia Community Registered Trustee is full of rumors.

Father Kizito was replying to Michael Owiso and three other petitioners who sued him over the running of the trust early this month.

In his affidavit Kizito argues that the petition is based on rumors and that the allegation of sexual harassment was manufactured.

The plaintiffs through lawyer John Khaminwa claim that Father Kizito has caused disrepute to the Trust following claims that he defiled minors at Mvuli Children's home at Kawangware in Nairobi.

Mvuli is one of the rehabilitation centres run by Koinonia Community in Nairobi.

Father Kizito who is one of the trustees says Owiso was removed from the trusteeship by the members.

The plaintiffs through their lawyer wanted Fr Kizito removed from running the Trust claiming that he had brought disrepute to the Trust following allegations that he defiled minors.

They claimed that the priest had removed them as trustees and replaced them with his cronies so that he could circumvent any inquiries touching on the Trust.

A report by a media house in June claimed that Fr Kizito had abused the minors who were orphans under his care.

Fr Kizito refuted the claims saying they emanated from people who were out to seize the Koinonia Community.

ECK

And a case where former ECK chairman Samuel Kivuitu and 21 others are challenging their removal from office will be mentioned on September 22 so as to confirm a compliance ordered by the court.

In their newly amended affidavit Kivuitu and co. want a declaration to be issued to state that the Interim Independent Electoral Commission acted in contempt of court by allowing the debate and passage of the constitution of Kenya Amendment Bill 2008 by the National Assembly.

They also argue that their removal from office is unconstitutional.
