International pastor, Reverend Paul Lewis who is on bail for sexual offence charges will not be speaking at a religious convention scheduled to start in Kingston today and next week in Montego Bay.

Reverend Lewis is among the persons spearheading the conference called the Gathering of the Prophets.

However, concerns were raised by the lobby group Hear The Children’s Cry and some religious leaders about the pastor’s involvement in the convention.

The lobby group had also called for a boycott of the services.

Speaking with the Gleaner Power 106 News this morning, Head of Whole Life Ministries Reverend Al Miller said the organisers have assured him that Reverend Lewis will not be making presentations at the convention.

Reverend Lewis is on charges of carnal abuse involving a 15-year-old Westmoreland girl and indecent assault involving a 14-year-old girl.

The pastor is currently on a $1 million bail and is barred from leaving Jamaica before his next court hearing on September 4 in Westmoreland.
