A MAN who was allegedly sexually abused by a former Anglican priest told a court yesterday that he had also been molested by Ric Marshall and Bob Brandenburg.

Testifying today, the man told the District Court that Wilfred Edwin Dennis, 73, of Vale Park, had abused him while he was an altar boy for a 12-18 month period in the 1970s.

Dennis has pleaded not guilty to three counts of indecent assault, one count of gross indecency, and one count of having carnal knowledge.

The alleged victim, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, told the court Dennis knew that Bob Brandenburg had molested him while on a church camp at Melrose in the state's mid-north.

"He (Dennis) asked me about an incident that occurred at the camp," he said.

"I had never mentioned the incident to Father Wilfred (Dennis) before that... my following was that he knew about it and he was questioning me about it."

Brandenburg was the former Church of England Boys Society chief commissioner.

The man told the court he was also abused by former child entertainer, Ric Marshall, during rehearsals for a play Marshall helped produce.

The alleged victim said Dennis arrived at his wedding as an "uninvited guest" years later.

He said he only realised his alleged former abuser had attended when he later browsed through photos of the wedding.

Stephen Apps, for Dennis, said the alleged victim had concocted the abuse as part of a blackmail attempt.

He said the alleged victim had written a letter demanding Dennis transfer his house into his name in exchange for his silence.

"You simply wanted money," Mr Apps said.

"You knew there was an inquiry about other priests so you made a bogus claim in the hope an old man would be silly enough transfer his home to you."

The trial is continuing.
