It's About Me

Steve Pona went with me to the police, as support, to report my sexual abuse at the hands of Father Norman Christian.

Steve is probably my best friend. He was there in the most frightening hour of my adult life. Steve was right there by my side. At that time, we barely knew each other. All of our interactions had been over the phone. So, our first face to face meeting we ever had was to go to the police and report that 30 years earlier, just a mere mile north of that police station on Gravois, I had been raped by a Father Christian. Not knowing what sort of reaction I would get, I was scared to death. But Steve seemed so confident and cool about the whole thing it gave me courage.

If SNAP has taught me anything it's this; the most important thing we can do as survivors is to just be there for each other.

So here is a quick, fun, & easy way you can help me show Steve and his beautiful wife Michelle a little bit of how much that meant to me. You'll also be helping sick children, and having a ton of fun in the process!

Steve, has put together the 48 hour world record baseball game here in St. Louis. All you need to do to help me is become a fan of the page http://www.facebook.com/pages/48-Hour-World-Record-Baseball-Game/125866149483?ref=pymk if you haven't already! And if you can afford it you should become a sponsor by going to this page http://www.glennon.org/events/worldrecord/ Or better yet just go to http://www.worldrecordbaseballgame.com/player.asp sellect Steve Pona as the player you want to sponsor and then fill out the info. All the money raised is going to Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital.

And whether you sponsor a donation or not you should definitely make plans on attending!

Thanks in advance to all those who can help me out! And please post this on your FB, Twitter, YouTube... and any other social network pages your on. Oh and send this to all your friends and family as a personal favor for me too.
