PARMA, Ohio - PARMA -- Parma police say the arrest of a man in Arizona has spawned a sex crime investigation in Parma where the man was once a youth pastor.

25-year-old Joshua O'Bannion was arrested by police in Chandler, Arizona on three counts of sex abuse and eight counts of sexual conduct with a minor.

Police say O'Bannion, who was serving as an intern at the Christ Life Church in Tempe, had sex with a 14-year-old girl in his car at least three times this summer.

When word got out that O'Bannion had been arrested, Parma police received calls from two victims in Parma.

O'Bannion was a youth pastor at the First United Pentecostal Church of Parma.

"He's only in Arizona for nine months and rapidly cultivates a relationship with this 14 year old. We have at least two victims who have come forward here and based on the circumstances we have reason to believe there may be other victims here," Parma Detective Marty Compton said.

Compton says both female victims told police they were raped by O'Bannion when he was a youth pastor at the church. Police say one of the incidents happened at the church on Huffman Road.

No one from the First United Pentecostal Church of Parma returned phone calls from FOX 8.

Parma police believe there are more victims. Anyone with information should contact the crime tip line at (440) 887-7340.
