Although he initially denied he was the child's father, the Herald writes he is now looking to obtain custody of the girl, Marilyn Epiphany, who was born in January. David Dueppen, the former Catholic priest, has been embroiled in a legal tussle with Beatrice Hernandez, the one-time stripper, since last month. Hernandez came forward in September to demand child support, claiming to have had a seven-year relationship with Dueppen, whom she'd met while working at Porky's strip club nearly seven years ago. The former exotic dancer also got a temporary restraining order issued against Dueppen, the Herald reports, claiming he had choked her during an argument. She is looking to make that order permanent. Dueppen, a former middle school teacher, became a priest in 1999, but took indefinite leave of absence in August from St. Maximilian Kolbe Church in Pembroke Pines. According to his lawyer, the former priest denies he attacked Hernandez.
