According to Interior Minister Yuri Lutsenko, spreading information about second name of injured children, seat and data of examinations and tests in the mass media reports is immoral. “I know how to defend my children and I will defend these children too. I will not give any data about the course of investigation online”, the head of Interior Ministry emphasized.

The head of Main Directorate of Interior Ministry in Crimea Hennady Moskal claimed minors had been raped in Artek earlier. “There were two facts – children at the age of 9 and 10 were raped and cases were not disclosed”, he reported.

According to him, a priest was involved into the case. Earlier he was convicted for similar crimes in the Russian Federation. “The name of the priest emerged relating to those cases. He attended Artek together with ex-presidents and their wives. When law enforcement began to check him after they had learned about rape, he disappeared. When he was checked in the database of the Russian Federation, he turned out to be convicted for perversion of minors, pedophilia and other crimes”, Hennady Moskal told.

According to Hennady Moskal, “pedophiles are coming to Ukraine from all over the world to satisfy their sexual needs because we have opened the border for everybody”. “Not Thailand but Ukraine is considered to be a center of sex tourism to satisfy perverted sexual needs”, he states.

10:28 a.m. Artek director general Borys Novozhylov is ready to give law enforcement agencies evidence at any moment. He is insisting on his interrogation as soon as possible, Artek press service cites Novozhylov’s statement as saying.

Artek director general notes during previous days mass media sources are spreading rumors he is absconding to avoid investigation. “In spite of state of my health, I am ready to give evidence relating to the case at any moment. Moreover, I am insisting on my interrogation as soon as possible and I am ready to have a meeting with investigator in the hospital”, Borys Novozhylov claimed.

According to him, he upholds an opinion of MP from The Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc (BYuT) Serhiy Terekhyn to check all figurants of the case by means of polygraph. Borys Novozhylov is ready to do it in the presence of reporters, UNIAN reports.

“Taking into consideration high-profile story, I consider it is necessary to involve international authoritative experts”, Artek director general claimed.

Video record has appeared on YouTube in the Internet. Here is an interview with the Kyiv businessman Evhen Solovyov. According to him, he and his friend, Moscow businessman Sergey Piletsky had a business relationship with one of MPs whose name is mentioned in the “case on pedophiles” in the middle of 90s. Allegedly Piletsky was a witness of deputy’s involvement into sexual orgies in saunas, Segodnya reports.

Segodnya newspaper phoned businessman and he confirmed everything he had said in the video interview. Moreover, he claimed he is ready to give evidence in the Prosecutor’s General Office. Sergey Piletsky denies everything. “I had never seen MP participated in any sexual orgies. Naturally, I could not tell Solovyov about it”, he claimed. The people’s deputy told “it is non sense”.

Yesterday, on October 19 the head of Security Service of Ukraine Valentyn Nalyvaychenko claimed the case papers about pedophiles were allegedly sent from Interior Ministry to the Prosecutor’s General Office. But the Prosecutor’s General Office corrected information about it. “Oleksandr Medvedko (the Prosecutor General – editor.) held a conference but we did not take the case papers out of the Main investigative department of Interior Ministry”, spokesman for the Prosecutor’s General Office said.

The State penal corrections department reported the main suspect is in the Lukyanovka isolation ward.

05:42 p.m. A MP from The Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc (BYuT) Viktor Ukolov returned to Kyiv and Interior Ministry has already interrogated him, he claimed today, on Tuesday in his blog.

“Yesterday I was interrogated at the Interior Ministry in the presence of prosecutor. It is very vile”, Viktor Ukolov reported. Accusations of him are his opponents’ inventions, Ukrainskaya Pravda cites MP as saying.

The Prosecutor General Oleksandr Medvedko is making a speech at the Verkhovna Rada about fact of infringement upon freedom of children in the international camp Artek. The Prosecutor General is charging the Dniprovsky militia district department of Kyiv with inactivity. According to him, application of mother of children Elena Poliukhovych was made on April 16 and investigators committed 9 investigative actions till October 13. On July 24 prosecutor’s office considered the criminal case and sent it to the Main Department of Interior Ministry.

According to Oleksandr Medvedko, yesterday, on October 19 MPs Serhiy Teriokhyn and Viktor Ukolov were interrogated as witnesses at the Prosecutor’s General Office. On Tuesday law enforcement agents were planning to interrogate a MP Ruslan Bohdan from BYuT and but then interrogation was put off till October 21, MIGnews.com.ua correspondent Yulia Makoveeva cites Prosecutor general as saying.

Making a report at the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Interior Minister Yuri Lutsenko claimed lawyer of children’s mother was demanding from a MP from BYuT a bribe amounting to US $2 mn.

06:15 p.m. According to Minister, “during two days – the day before yesterday and yesterday at night we registered a contact between injured party (by means of audio and video), following the Criminal Procedural Code. At that time a lawyer demanded from MPs to get a bribe. In that case children would stop identify people’s deputies”.

The parliament voted for establishment of Interim investigative committee at the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to investigate perversion of children in the International children’s center Artek.

06:22 p.m. The whole information which has been given today at the meeting of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine by the Prosecutor General Oleksandr Medvedko, Interior Minister Yuri Lutsenko and human rights commissioner Nina Karpachova will have no legal consequences. A MP from BYuT Roman Zabzaliuk claimed this in an exclusive commentary for MIGnews.com.ua reporter Yulia Makoveeva. According to MP, it gives the grounds to presuppose someone is very interested in the political PR around a scandal with Artek.

“It is very profitable for someone to make political PR basing on such nasty things when only court should make a sentence”, Roman Zabzaliuk said presupposing “it is the order of both Viktors”.

According to MP, the scandal is an attempt to discredit all authorities of Ukraine and presupposed “it is a foreign order relating to Russia”.
