	Trial for FLDS Member Interrupted By Trish Choate Standard-Times October 30, 2009 http://www.gosanangelo.com/news/2009/oct/29/trial-for-flds-member-interrupted/ SAN ANGELO, Texas — ELDORADO — The child sexual assault trial of a polygamist sect member came to a screeching halt just before 3 p.m. today because a jurist’s child may have swine flu. Judge Barbara Walther sent the jurors home and told her bailiff to tell the jurors the court would call them in the morning. Walther, 51st Judicial District judge, announced that a juror’s child younger than 5 has a high temperature. Walther said they would not continue until the child gets better. She told the attorneys in the trial of Raymond Merril Jessop, 38, to stay and they would take up other matters. The judge later sent everyone home for the day, including the attorneys and defendants. The court will convene for a bench hearing at 10 a.m. Friday that doesn’t require the jury’s presence. This is a breaking news story.
